Summary
I lead the design team, UI, UX, strategy for new development of Netflix’s app and viewing system.

Problem Statement:
Netflix is the world market leader in entertainment and content. The current issue is how do they utilise their brand “the stack“ more regularly and what options are there for users not being overwhelmed by content?
Approach
Phase 1: Using their branding guides we implemented some small design tweaks and changes that meant all pages and extra elements were redesigned to be stack on top of each other. Using various user testing models we determined where users would go from each page so we could arrange the stack in the correct order. This meant more animations, micro interactions and a more enjoyable experience.
Phase 2: A new category was created in the Netflix account where you could become friends with people at home or work by giving each other your specific code. This meant you could connect accounts and share shows or films with others in your friends list directly through the app instead of verbally and having to remember
Phase 3: A algorithm was to be created to determine which of your friends or families recommendations you preferred and bring theirs to the forefront. You could also have shows with multiple recommendations and all would be weighted accordingly to help not be intimidated by the amount of content.
